The least favor superhero is due to of lack of stand alone stories in the comic or movies, some even says that his super power is not as great as flash and had no use to fight crimes.
The injury is more than enough to damage this character.
Based on my search in the wikipedia i haven't found any dept of this character storyline in the DC universe
I know that there shall be an upcoming movie with Jason Momoa with a title Unite the Seven.
Until this date i haven't got any additional information about the title.
Some say that he is uniting the Justice League since we have Batman, Superman, The Flash (TV series), Arrow (TV series), Wonder Woman (upcoming movie), Cyborg (cameo appearance in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice), and Aquaman itself.
Some say that the title was about the seven seas, the story took place before Aquaman declare as the ruler of the seven seas.
