All the Lantern RIngs

Today i would like to talk about all the lantern power rings.

Before the green lantern movie played in my country, i have no idea that there are more than 2 color of the lantern. We already know about the green one, and i once saw the yellow one from one film in a cartoon network.

While ago when surfing inside Comicstorian channel i stumble on a video "All Lantern Corp Explained! - Know Your Universe!"
The video took about 10 minutes and he explained it clearly, according to my taste.

There are nine color of the lantern.
Green for will power, Yellow for fear, Red for rage, Blue for hope, Orange for greed, Indigo for compassion, Star Sappires for love, White for life, and Black for death.

Each of ever ring has in own stories. For Green we know the story of  Hal Jordan becoming the green lantern. For the yellow, we know that Sinestro will hold the yellow ring and rise the Sinestro coprs to battle the green lantern.

How about the rest of the color? In one of the Comicstorian channel, there are a complete video retold about the origin of each lantern color.
For the white and black lantern, it was retold on video, the story of Blackest Night. In the story it explained about the dooms day of all the lantern corps.

I loved how DC made this range of color in the lantern universe.
Each human feelings are capture in each color. fear, rage, hope, greed, compassion and love.

All the lantern corps battle each other in the story and it represent the emotional feelings battle in inside a human heart.

I know that sound chessy, but that was i think went i read the background video of each color.

The one that was catch my interest to dig deeper is the black and white lantern.
The black lantern which appear in the Blackest Night story is the ultimate ring. since every one will eventually will die.
The black ring revives all the dead superheros and supervillians, and boy what a great story.

Meanwhile for the oath, each lantern have their unique oath represent the power they hold.

Green lantern = In brightest day, in blackest light, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might, beware of my power Green Lantern's Light

Yellow lantern = In blackest day, in brightest night, beware you fears made into light. Let those who try to stop what's right, burn like my power Sinestro Might

Red lantern = with blood and rage of crimson red, ripped from a corpse so freshly dead. Together with our hellish hate, we'll burn you all That is your fate

Blue lantern = In fearful day, in raging night, with strong hearts full our soul ignite. When all seems lost in the War of Light, Look to the Stars For Hope Burns Bright

Yellow lantern = This power is mine, this is my light. Let it in bright of day or black of night, i let claim to all that falls within my sight to take what i want That is My Right

As for the other oath, during my time writing this blog, i can't confirm that the source is correct or not

All the oath describe the power they hold and they come in a nice rhyme also.
